Juice Technology AG announces the founding of the subsidiary Zhejiang Juice Technology Co., Ltd.

Juice Technology AG, manufacturer of charging stations and software, leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, expands its field of activity into the Asiatic region and founds the subsidiary Zhejiang Juice Technology Co., Ltd. with a site in Hangzhou, China.

Hangzhou is the capital of the Zhejiang province and has around nine million residents. The metropolitan region is a technology centre with key educational institutions, research facilities and development centres for multinational companies such as Siemens. Numerous major Chinese companies also have their headquarters here, including the Alibaba Group, which numbers among the largest online retailers in the world. Hangzhou is therefore a significant economic power.

China is waiting impatiently for mobile wall boxes

Over the last seven years, charging infrastructure producer Juice has continuously expanded and perfected its portfolio and tailored it to the current circumstances. Although it is already the world leader in mobile 22 kW charging stations, the company is by no means resting on its laurels and has founded Zhejiang Juice Technology Co., Ltd. with an office in Hangzhou, China, in order to continue driving the business forward in Asia.

The location was not chosen at random. China has a leading role in electromobility. Around half of the electric cars sold worldwide are on the road in the most densely populated country in the world. And demand for mobile charging infrastructure is equally high.

“China is an enormous market and is demonstrating strong growth, particularly in the electromobility sector. It was therefore only a question of time before we would want to strengthen our position in this region with a flexible and diverse team on the ground,” says Christoph Erni, CEO and founder of Juice Technology AG. “The entire industry is experiencing exponential growth. It is therefore logical to actively expand the field of activity in Asia now.”

Juice is getting started in Hangzhou with Marius Portmann at the helm and a diverse team in the fields of sales, e-commerce, after-sales, marketing, logistics and human resources. Portmann is qualified for the expansion in China thanks to in-depth knowledge of the country, culture, language and business etiquette.

By now, 170 people work in the development, production, marketing, sales and logistics divisions. The group is now expanding to include Zhejiang Juice Technology Co., Ltd.
