This elegant solution is as functional as it is robust and is aimed at all operators who value tidiness and safe operation.
In ski resorts, car parks often resemble a single white expanse, and charging cables lying on the ground disappear beneath the snow after a snowfall. When clearing the snow, they are easily overlooked and can be caught and damaged by snow blowers – resulting in downtime and repair costs for operators.
Sophisticated design for demanding environments
The new, spring-loaded cable management system for the JUICE CHARGER me 3 offers a reliable solution here. A spring-loaded guide arm at the base, which extends approximately 120 cm above the charging station, keeps the five-metre-long charging cable in a controlled position at an ergonomic operating height. A spiral guide at the upper end allows for friction-free movement in all directions. The cable remains flexible without rubbing against sharp edges or getting caught.
Even when the full length is required, the cable can be easily moved towards the vehicle thanks to the stainless steel spring, and no excessive strain is placed on the connected Type 2 charging connector. After charging, the flexible spring mechanism automatically straightens out and guides the cable back to its starting position.
This keeps the charging cable neatly guided away from the ground, rather than lying twisted where it could become snowed in, run over or pose a tripping hazard. There is no risk of vehicles or tow bars getting caught on the cable. In open car parks, snow-clearing vehicles such as snow blowers can operate without restriction, without accidentally catching and damaging the cable. In underground car parks, cleaning machines can pass through unhindered. At the same time, the upright mounting improves the visibility of the charging station.
Weatherproof and vandal-proof
Whilst traditional cable reels and swivel arms require wall or ceiling mounting and quickly reach their limits outdoors, the spring-based cable management system can be mounted either as a free-standing unit on charging points or attached to walls or ceilings, whilst remaining fully functional.
Unlike enclosed cable reels or mechanisms with moving plastic parts, as used by competitors, the stainless steel and aluminium construction is completely weather-resistant: water cannot penetrate, freeze and block components. The concept also overcomes the weaknesses of swivel arms, which are frequently damaged because they simply cannot withstand the stresses of everyday use – including occasional misuse as a children’s swing. The design, made from high-quality materials, is virtually indestructible: there are no complex mechanical parts that could wear out or break. The robust construction is resistant to vandalism and therefore also suitable for high-traffic locations.
Flexible mounting options
The bracket is available as an original accessory for the JUICE CHARGER me 3 and can be mounted individually or in pairs on the charger base. Alternatively, a spacer included in the set also allows for wall mounting. The solution is therefore suitable for open car parks as well as underground car parks or commercial premises.
