At Juice, our goal is to make all areas - from development to procurement to production and use - as economically, ecologically and socially sustainable as possible. A product that is durable, future-proof and at the same time sustainably manufactured? In our opinion, that's exactly how it should be! We firmly believe that clean mobility only begins with clean charging technology.
Sustainability starts in the company
For Juice, it was clear from the start that electromobility is more than just a new type of drive. It must be understood as an overall concept. In order to be able to make an external contribution to sustainability, we must also build the company in a sustainable and future-proof manner, because only with a solid foundation will we be able to expand our commitment to other areas, such as ecology and social issues.
Research and Development
Recognizing trends, keeping an eye on market developments and identifying user needs are crucial to the role of the market leader. As a global employer, it is our responsibility to ensure the success of the company. Through our R&D department (research and development), we recognize changes early on and can incorporate them into product planning and development.

Sustainable entrepreneurship involves building lasting partnerships. This is the only way we can ensure lasting quality and enable planning security for all those involved through long-term cooperation. With the ISO 20400 guidelines, we are committed not only to ensuring the value of the goods, but also to promoting cooperation with suppliers who operate sustainably.
More for everyone
For every product we produce, we plant the number of trees required to neutralize CO₂ emissions. For example, the production and transport of a JUICE BOOSTER 2 including adapter produces 84 kg of CO₂. If we plant a tree today, it will absorb around 120 kg of CO₂ in the first ten years.
Juice has already supported various projects around the world. The reforestation in the province of Bizkaia is restoring the Undabaso forests, which are part of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. In the area, biodiversity is threatened by large pine and eucalyptus plantations. More than 35 tree species are being planted in this reforestation project.
In the forest areas on the Chilcotin Plateau in British Columbia, Canada, the plateau was devastated by the Hanceville fire in 2017. The forest could no longer regenerate naturally. By planting tree species that are better adapted to climate change, a long-term healthy forest area is to be created. By the end of 2020, Juice had planted a forest area the size of 210 football fields and completed this measure.
To promote long-term growth, we focus on projects that respect biodiversity and do not cultivate monocultures. This means the trees can easily live to 50 or 100 years. Juice supports reforestation worldwide in collaboration with One Tree Planted.
Sustainability is not a question of size, but of continuous optimization with steady growth.
Since 2018, Juice has undergone various audits every year and has itself certified by independent, external auditing organizations. The trick is not only to implement standards effectively, but also to maintain them as we grow and expand worldwide.

With the “Activate 2022” awards for packaging management and as a WEEE-licensed company, Juice is also setting an important example in terms of packaging, recycling and waste separation.

ISO50001
This philosophy is also reflected in the product design. The smartJUICE load and charging management system, which is certified to ISO standard 50001, guarantees users optimal energy management with maximum efficiency.

Juice has also had its environmental management system audited by an independent body in accordance with ISO 14001. This confirms that not only is production carried out in an environmentally conscious manner, but that this attitude is also practiced at all levels of the company.

The commitment to sustainable procurement is reflected in the ISO 20400 standard. With this certification, Juice is committed to promoting cooperation in the purchasing process with suppliers who work in the spirit of sustainability according to social, ecological and economic aspects.

Juice ensures that all components are robust and made from as pure materials as possible. This means that all products can be easily dismantled and recycled after a fulfilled life cycle. This ensures that they are available again as raw materials for new uses.
Brown Packaging
We print the packaging made of untreated cardboard in one color, avoid unnecessary varnishes and use recycled paper whenever possible. This way we can not only save resources, but also many tons of CO₂. All packaging materials bearing the FSC logo are made with wood from responsibly managed forests.
Juice as part of the standardization committee
Technical specifications are important. However, to ensure the most sustainable use possible, suitability for everyday use must not be neglected. With selected representatives in two committees of the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), we ensure that charging solutions are not only safe, but also user-friendly and therefore future-proof.
A partner with a social background
Juice believes that commitment is not limited to individual steps in the value chain, but includes the entire environment and all people involved. One example of this is the collaboration with the Uetendorfberg Foundation. This foundation offers people with hearing, speech and multiple impairments the chance to obtain meaningful training, internships and jobs in a protected environment. This enables these people to participate in working life in a self-determined and responsible manner and combines social responsibility with sustainable production.
