Swiss company Juice Technology AG and Athlon Germany GmbH are driving the electrification of fleets forward together.

Juice Technology AG, manufacturer of charging stations and software, leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, develops a special offering for fleet operators in collaboration with Athlon Germany GmbH, the leading provider for vehicle leasing and fleet management, and thus supports electrification of vehicle fleets.

In order to facilitate access to electricity for electric vehicles at any time for fleet operators and drive the electrification of fleets, Juice has developed a perfectly tailored offering in collaboration with Athlon. The JUICE BOOSTER 2, certified by the TÜV, is the only mobile charging station in the world at up to 22 kW which meets the requirements of the current IEC 62752 standard and allows for single-phase to three-phase charging of electric vehicles at up to 32 amps. The mobile charger is safe, intuitive to use and is perfect for international use.

“Our JUICE BOOSTER 2 is a mobile wall box, a 3-in-1 solution which can cover all areas of application when it comes to charging: as a mounted wall box thanks to the wall bracket, as a mobile charging station and as a type 2 cable for public charging,” says Christoph Erni, founder and CEO of Juice Technology AG. “The JUICE CONNECTOR, which we developed especially for the Juice Booster 2 and which can be driven over, ensures a simple and safe charging process and, thanks to fully automated adapter detection, regulates the JUICE BOOSTER 2 to the maximum possible charging capacity by itself. All domestic sockets are monitored on our end with patented temperature sensor technology. A key safety aspect in order to prevent overheating and potential smouldering fires as a result.”

The JUICE BOOSTER 2 is compatible with all electric vehicles with a type 2 or type 1 connection. The integrated direct current and alternating current fault detection triggers effectively at the preset value, meaning that there is no need for an additional expensive type B ground fault circuit interrupter in the supply. With a cable length of five metres and an anti-theft adapter lock, the electric vehicle can be flexibly parked for the charging process.

In addition to the mobile wall box, the Fleet Set which was put together specially for Athlon includes a Schuko adapter for domestic sockets, a CEE16 plug (three-phase) for industrial sockets and the type 2 adapter for use of the JUICE BOOSTER at public charging stations. Alongside the Fleet Set, Athlon customers can now also choose the mobile charging station in two other variants: the German Basic Set and the Master Traveller Set.

1. Charge at any socket: With the JUICE BOOSTER 2 adapters, the electric vehicle can be charged at any conventional domestic or industrial plug socket around the world.
2. Automatic output detection: The charging device is always set to the optimum charging capacity. This prevents overloading of sockets.
3. The JUICE BOOSTER 2 is absolutely waterproof (IP 67) and can be driven over with a wheel load of up to three tonnes.

TÜV SÜD certified: The JUICE BOOSTER 2 is the first mobile charging station in the world in the 22 kW power class to be tested by TÜV SÜD in accordance with IEC 62752 Ed. 1 2016 including AMD1 2018.
