The Swiss charging station manufacturer is now supplying Hyundai Switzerland with its charging stations for four battery-electric models and three plug-in hybrids.
Juice Technology AG, manufacturer of charging stations and software, and leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, is expanding its partnership with Hyundai Switzerland. The Juice charging stations are now officially integrated into Hyundai Switzerland's configurator and are also available on Hyundai's accessories page.
The shift from fossil fuels to alternative drive systems has been a trend for some time now and is also firmly anchored in Hyundai's strategy. This is reflected, among other things, in the highly electrified model range. Three out of four Hyundai models are now available in partially or fully electric versions.
JUICE BOOSTER 2 and IONIQ 5 – a dream team
As part of its electric offensive, Hyundai Switzerland is intensifying its collaboration with Juice Technology. The KONA Electric and Electric Facelift models, which are very successful in Switzerland, the plug-in hybrid variants of IONIQ, TUCSON and SANTA FE, as well as the IONIQ Electric and the IONIQ 5, which was recently named "Swiss Car of the Year 2022", can be configured directly with JUICE BOOSTER 2, JUICE CHARGER 2 and JUICE PHASER. Together with the appropriate adapters and accessories, e-car drivers receive an all-round, worry-free package right from the start that enables long ranges and fast charging.
"Two things are necessary for the further spread of electromobility among the general population: affordable car models and a readily available and easy-to-use charging infrastructure. That's why I'm particularly pleased about the partnership with Hyundai, a company for which efficiency, safety and everyday usability are just as important as they are to us," says Christoph Erni, CEO of Juice Technology AG. "Hyundai customers now have direct access to the ideal charging solution that is tailored to their needs, technically at the highest level and extremely user-friendly."
Juice Technology AG is a leader in the development and production of mobile charging stations and complete charging and load management for large parking areas and parking garages. As one of the few full-range suppliers in the industry with mobile and fixed AC and DC charging stations and charging accelerators on offer, Juice has the right equipment for every available electric car and every new one coming onto the market.
Interest in electric cars is growing enormously. Nevertheless, there is still a mental hurdle for prospective buyers due to fears of insufficient range or the supposedly complicated connection to charging stations. Juice Technology's portfolio offers solutions that have the potential to reduce these kinds of fears because they are developed entirely from the user's perspective.
With the JUICE BOOSTER 2, Hyundai customers now have a mobile wallbox to hand when they buy a car. Thanks to extensive adapter sets, it can be connected to any conventional socket. The JUICE CHARGER 2 also provides a charging station for public areas where you can conveniently pay with a credit card and not just with a charging card, as with other providers. The offer is rounded off by a charging accelerator for all single-phase charging cars.
-
JUICE BOOSTER 2: With this flexible charging station, the electric car can be charged at any conventional household or industrial socket worldwide. The charger has automatic power detection, is waterproof and dustproof (IP 67) and can be driven over with a wheel load of up to three tons.
The JUICE BOOSTER 2 is the first mobile charging station in the 22 kW power class worldwide that is TÜV SÜD-tested according to IEC 62752 Ed. 1 2016 including AMD1 2018. -
JUICE CHARGER 2: This intelligent wall charging station fits elegantly into any environment: indoors, outdoors, in private and public areas. It allows single- to three-phase charging with up to 32 amps and is compatible with all electric cars that have a Type 2 or Type 1 connection.
The JUICE CHARGER 2 has integrated residual current detection, a calibrated MID electricity meter and is equipped for the omnidynamic charging and load management system smartJUICE. The housing is jet-proof and dustproof according to IP65. The wallbox is simple and quick to install and is eligible for KfW funding in Germany. - JUICE PHASER: Single-phase electric cars charge almost twice as fast with this charging accelerator. The JUICE PHASER can be used to charge with 25 amps and 5.8 kW (instead of the previous maximum of 3.7 kW) – with a mains load of just 16 amps – without generating an unbalanced load. Its housing is IP65 water-jet-proof and dust-tight. The JUICE BOOSTER 2 can be connected to the JUICE PHASER using the JUICE CONNECTOR.
- Hyundai models: Models that can be combined with the Juice charging stations in the Hyundai configurator are the KONA Electric and Electric Facelift, IONIQ Electric and IONIQ 5 as well as the plug-in hybrid versions of IONIQ, TUCSON and SANTA FE.

About Hyundai Suisse
Hyundai vehicles have been officially imported into Switzerland for more than 30 years. Over the past three decades, Hyundai has developed from a niche player to the leading provider of alternative drives throughout Europe and in Switzerland. The majority of today's models are available with electrified drives: from mild hybrids to full hybrids, plug-in hybrids and fully electric to hydrogen-electric drives. Hyundai is underlining its focus on environmentally friendly mobility in Europe, among other things, with the commitment of Bertrand Piccard, who is also involved in the area of mobility as a Hyundai brand ambassador.
Hyundai's current offering in Switzerland includes 20 passenger car models and versions, which are offered and serviced through a nationwide network of sales partners. The market share (passenger cars) was 2.7% in the Corona year 2020, which corresponds to 6,338 new vehicles.
Since 2019, import and distribution in Switzerland have been carried out by BERSAN Automotive Switzerland AG, a company of the Spanish Bergé Auto group. Analogous to the development of Hyundai Motor and Hyundai in Europe, Hyundai is also preparing the company's transformation into a provider of comprehensive mobility services in Switzerland.
