Available now via the j+ pilot app: New unlocking and receipt function

Juice Technology AG, manufacturer of charging stations and software and leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, is giving the JUICE BOOSTER 3 air an additional boost with the latest release of the j+ pilot app. The new features – releasing the charging coupling via the JUICE BOOSTER 3 air, precise billing of charging processes, and the receipt function – offer unparalleled convenience for e-mobilists.

Thanks to the JUICE BOOSTER 3 air, cumbersome operations in the vehicle cockpit are now a thing of the past: To detach the charging coupling from the charging socket after the charging process is complete, simply press a button on the plug of the JUICE BOOSTER 3 air.

Unlock charging coupling at the touch of a button

The “Unlock charging coupling” function can be activated via the corresponding menu item in the j+ pilot app. This brand new function joins the already familiar uses of the multifunction button on the JUICE CONTROLLER, the convenient control unit in the vehicle-side Type 2 plug, and can be configured individually just as easily. In total, the following options are possible: changing the charging power, unlocking via RFID or charging without an unlocking function, unlocking the charging coupling to end the charging process at the touch of a button or alternatively via RFID.

The one-button unlocking function is secured against unauthorized unplugging by two-factor authentication. A prerequisite for using this function is that the vehicle is unlocked. This function has already been tested with models from various vehicle manufacturers. However, a few vehicles that do not comply with common standards also allow the charging coupling to be unlocked without prior unlocking of the vehicle. For this case, the “Unlock charging coupling via RFID” option is provided. The app instructs users to perform a test after enabling the “Unlock charging coupling” function.

Load management and charging prioritisation

The app also allows for easy pooling of multiple Boosters into a load management group, where available power is distributed equally or prioritized among all charging vehicles. This can also be done directly via the j+ pilot. Administrations of multi-party buildings that shy away from a larger investment in a fixed installation can thus quickly implement a smart, future-proof solution for residents.
Commercial vehicle fleets can also be quickly and easily equipped with the JUICE BOOSTER 3 air with a demand-oriented charging park including fleet management (via the j+ pilot app). All charging stations in the network can be centrally controlled via the app.

Business solution: Accurate billing and logbook

The flexible solution is an equivalent alternative to fixed wall-mounted charging stations. If the JUICE BOOSTER 3 air is provided to field staff who travel both professionally and privately in combination with j+ pilot, they can save a lot of time thanks to the integrated logbook.

With the receipt function, the charging history can be exported as a CSV file and handed over to the employer for expense reporting or attached to the tax declaration. After German and English, the app is now also available in French, Italian, and Spanish.

  3. Available languages: The j+ pilot is now available in five languages: German, English, French, Italian, and Spanish.
  4. Vehicles: Currently, models from Audi, BMW, Citroën, DS, Ford, Honda, Mini, Opel, Peugeot, Tesla, Vauxhall, and VW can be connected to the app. New vehicle models are continuously being added and tested in the app.
