Juice Technology AG, manufacturer of charging stations and software, leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, strengthens its commitment in Europe with the founding of Juice France with its headquarters in Villepinte near Paris. For the company, this means more than just an additional presence in another country.

For more than seven years, Juice Technology AG has proven its competence and broad know-how time and again, and has brought several industry firsts, innovative and high-quality products and solutions to market. The focus here is always on driving the development of e-mobility, actively helping to shape the market for the benefit of consumers and offering the users of electric vehicles the best solution at all times when it comes to charging. “Juice’s secret lies in the fact that we consistently develop all of our products from the user’s point of view. Because charging must be easy, safe and accessible to everyone,” says Christoph Erni, founder of Juice Technology AG and CEO of the Juice Group.

It comes as no surprise that the successful company has made a name for itself around the world, both with end customers and among the major automobile manufacturers, with its reliable technology. Not least, this is a result of the fact that the JUICE BOOSTER 2 was the first mobile 22 kW charging station in the world to be successfully tested and certified by TÜV SÜD, for example. The charging stations also often take the top spot in comparative tests, like those on vergleich.org or by the ADAC (General German Automobile Club). Added to this are several awards such as the German Design Award 2020 for the JUICE BOOSTER 2 or the “Best Places to Work” award in 2020 and 2021 for Juice as an employer.

Juice France strengthens Juice’s European presence

“France is an extremely large and important market which we are now able to engage with much more consistently thanks to its own national subsidiary,” Christoph Erni is delighted. He knows that French customers place particular value on support from their own country and, above all, in their own language. That’s why the founding of Juice France is so important.

Oliver Büntig takes on the leadership of the new subsidiary as the Managing Director at Juice France. As a long-standing expert in the fields of automotive engineering and data management, he has extensive experience as a tier 1 supplier for customers such as Airbus, Renault, John Deere and Faurecia. Oliver Büntig has been successfully working in France in the field of business development for the past 20 years. His methods for the organisation of processes in sales, marketing and management are extremely valuable and will also benefit the new subsidiary in France.

“Decision-makers and government representatives are currently very committed to supporting electromobility in France. By 2022, 600,000 purely electric vehicles and 400,000 plug-in hybrid vehicles should be on the roads – an ambitious target which we, as a manufacturer of charging infrastructure, are very supportive of,” explains Oliver Büntig, Managing Director of Juice France.

Nationwide expansion of the charging infrastructure will be one of the biggest challenges here. In order to overcome it, the French authorities have set themselves the target of installing 100,000 charging stations by the end of 2021 and making them accessible to the public.

“We are seeing the market make progress in France. In addition to flexibility, the drivers of electric vehicles are also looking for safety and don’t want to be entirely dependent on public charging stations. Mobile charging stations like our JUICE BOOSTER 2 are in tune with this trend and facilitate charging anywhere – at home, at the office or while travelling – with our Swiss army knife of e-mobility,” explain Oliver Büntig.

Juice Technology AG is represented in many locations around the world with its own branches, subsidiaries and partner companies. It also has a global network of resellers. By now, more than 200 people work in the development, production, marketing, sales and logistics divisions. The group is now expanding to include Juice France SAS.

About Juice Technology

Juice Technology AG, with its headquarters in Cham (Zug, Switzerland), is a globally active manufacturer of charging solutions for electric vehicles. The company’s extensive product portfolio, with AC and DC charging stations ranging from light mobile devices through to large fast chargers, makes it one of a very small number of full-range providers in the industry. Juice has dominated the market in mobile 22 kW charging stations since 2014.

The crucial difference to other solutions available on the market is the consistent software orientation. All devices designated “J+” are based on the same processor and the same firmware, which means they are compatible with one another. Juice saves on time, effort and costs by using its own consistent software architecture. Solutions such as omni-dynamic load management, payment by credit card or the open interface backend are therefore available throughout the product range.

The Juice Group has global reach with its own sites, subsidiaries and affiliates. Juice Services AG, Juice Telemetrics AG, Juice Europe GmbH in Germany with a subsidiary in Munich, Juice Iberia S.L. in Malaga, Zhejiang Juice Technology Co., Ltd in Hangzhou, China and Juice Americas Inc. in St. Petersburg, FL, USA are part of the group of companies. It also has a global network of resellers. More than 170 people currently work in the research and development, production, marketing, administration, purchasing and sales, and logistics departments.
