No frills and square. The format of the JUICE CHARGER me promises simplicity. And the wallbox has it all: 'Plug and Play' and 'Plug and Charge' stand for easy connection and charging. Just as you would expect from all Juice products.

Juice Technology AG, manufacturer of charging stations and software, and leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, is presenting the JUICE CHARGER me, a simple, compact wallbox eligible for KfW funding that can be connected in no time at all. As one of the first AC charging stations, it has the 'Plug and Charge' standard. It is networked, has charging and load management on board and its features make it unbeatably affordable. Juice is also subsidizing the first 3000 JUICE CHARGER me with EUR/CHF 100.

Extremely simple operation without compromising on functionality and design. These are the qualities of the latest offspring, JUICE CHARGER me, from the Swiss Juice Technology. The simple functionality that is well known from Tesla superchargers, for example, is now also available for the home, for parking garages and parking lots with the JUICE CHARGER me. Because the smart charger is not only great on its own, but can also be used perfectly in a network.

'Plug and Play' for providers - 'Plug and Charge' for customers

Open the housing, connect the power cable, put the cover on and you're done. One of the advantages of the JUICE CHARGER me is the quick, easy installation. The charging station is delivered completely pre-configured from the factory and is therefore immediately ready for use by the end customer - the installer does not have to make any special settings or additional installations. That's why it is rightly referred to as 'plug and play'.

Activate – plug in – charge: The simplicity continues during the charging process. Colored LEDs with self-explanatory symbols show the user the current status: ready for use, activation via RFID card, active charging process. It is even easier with a 'Plug and Charge'-capable car. Here, activation takes place directly when the charging connector is plugged into the car socket because the station automatically identifies the car. Juice integrates this feature in accordance with ISO 15118 as standard in all JUICE CHARGER me, thus once again putting it ahead of the competition, which has so far only offered this function as an optional extra.

The JUICE CHARGER me can be used to equip not only individual installations in private parking spaces, carports or garages, but also entire parking garages and fleet parking spaces. The smart charger has a local dynamic load management system for up to 250 units. One device is responsible for evenly distributing the available power to all other stations. However, whenever more flexibility is required, the infinitely scalable, omnidynamic charging and load management system smartJUICE is the preferred choice. This opens up the possibility of real-time monitoring or prioritizing individual vehicles. In both cases, all that is needed is a LAN connection. Bluetooth or WLAN are not required.

The JUICE CHARGER me not only communicate with each other via the Ethernet cable, but also with the j+ backend. This enables a complete analysis of usage when the wallbox is used publicly, for example in a hotel, golf club or fitness center, and gives the operator the option of billing management. To ensure operation with charging/load management, systems with two or more stations are always equipped with MID-certified electricity meters. If desired, a meter can also be integrated into individual charging stations.

Made in Germany and eligible for KfW funding

All components of the JUICE CHARGER me are manufactured and assembled in Germany. This also shows that a wallbox made in Germany does not have to be expensive. There is another advantage for German customers: the charger is eligible for KfW funding - and can be purchased without any additional payment.

In addition to the German KfW funding, Juice is offering a bonus of EUR/CHF 100 on the first 3,000 JUICE CHARGER me. Christoph Erni: "We are celebrating success worldwide with the mobile wallbox JUICE BOOSTER 2. We have decided on this unique funding program in order to spread e-mobility even faster."

The most important advantages of the JUICE CHARGER me at a glance:

  1. Small format: The JUICE CHARGER me is particularly compact with an edge length of 24 cm and a depth of 12 cm and also very light, weighing just 6.5 kg (including cable). 5 m of cable ensure the necessary flexibility.
  2. Charging power: Single to three-phase charging with six to 32 amps results in a charging power of up to 22 kW. For the KfW subsidy, there is a variant with 16 amps and a power output of 11 kW.
  3. Plug and Play: The wallbox is completely preconfigured at the factory and ready for immediate use, so there is hardly any setup effort.
  4. Plug and Charge: The JUICE CHARGER me is certified according to ISO 15118. When connected to the charging socket, the charging station automatically recognizes any car that already has the Plug and Charge standard and starts the charging process directly.
  5. Charging and load management: Local dynamic charging management in master-slave operation is on board for up to 250 charging stations. The cloud-based omnidynamic charging management smartJUICE is available for up to an infinite number of units. A MID-certified meter is integrated into every device intended for operation with charging/load management.
  6. Connectivity: The standardized Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) forms the backbone for the connection to the j+ backend and enables device management, remote maintenance, billing or load management.
    Three standardized interfaces (Modbus/TCP, Modbus/RTU and EEBUS) ensure communication with a home energy management system. This allows the photovoltaic system to be integrated into the home energy management and external load management control.
    All communication takes place via the Ethernet connection. However, for use as a private individual charging station, no permanent network connection is required and operation is therefore also possible without a LAN connection. A notebook can simply be connected for updates.
  7. Well thought-out and safe design: The JUICE CHARGER me has a frame made of brushed chrome steel and a front made of UV-resistant polycarbonate glass. This makes the charger suitable for indoor and outdoor use (IP54) and highly shock-resistant (IK10). The device can be used at outside temperatures between -25°C and +45°C. Its temperature sensor for reducing the charging current works regardless of the ambient temperature. The charging station is CE-compliant according to the two EMC guidelines IEC 61851 and IEC 61439-7.
  8. Installation: The JUICE CHARGER me can be attached to the wall as a wall box, but can also be mounted individually or in pairs on a stele.
  9. Activation: An RFID reader is integrated behind the front panel. Activation via RFID is for all cars that do not support the ISO standard 15118 for 'Plug and Charge'. The two cards supplied can be easily blocked and replaced if lost. Alternatively, the access data can also be transferred to an RFID badge.
  10. Price: EUR/CHF 999.- minus juice subsidy of EUR/CHF 100.- for the first 3000 units. Price includes VAT.
