Juice Technology AG launches the globally popular mobile charging station as J+ BOOSTER 2 in the USA, Canada and Mexico

Juice Technology AG, manufacturer of charging stations and software, and leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, is launching the portable 2-in-1 wallbox J+ BOOSTER 2 in North America.

Simply take the wallbox with you and charge your electric car at any conventional socket. Juice Technology can now keep this promise in the USA, Canada and Mexico with a version of the JUICE BOOSTER 2 specially developed for the North American power grid. Christoph Erni, founder and CEO of Juice Technology AG is convinced: "With our Swiss army knife of charging technology, range concerns are now a thing of the past on the North American continent too. After all, electricity is available everywhere, you just have to make it accessible." The technology company, which has been established in the industry for almost eight years, can score points with its expertise and proven Swiss quality.

Designed and certified for all North American power grids
In contrast to the three-phase European power grid, the American grid types are only single-phase, but vary in the number of volts and amps depending on the connection. The new J+ BOOSTER 2 takes this into account. The usual robust aluminum cylinder conceals a completely new development, optimized for 110 volts and up to 40 amps. The range includes eight coded NEMA adapter plugs, which are easy to connect using the tried-and-tested plug connection.

Externally, the J+ BOOSTER 2 differs from its European counterpart in that the CONNECTOR is attached directly to the device. In addition, US cars charge with the Type 1 plug. The normative requirements in the North American market even exceed the European safety requirements. Complete compliance must be proven in every detail by an independent certified institute. The J+ BOOSTER 2 passed the test procedure without any problems and received UL certification.

In use worldwide
Mobile charging stations allow charging exactly where the car is parked for a certain period of time anyway - i.e. at work during the day or at home at night. They thus compensate for the uneven spatial distribution of the charging infrastructure and make it easier to switch from a car with a combustion engine to an electric car. The spread of portable wall boxes makes the transition to electromobility quick, flexible and cost-effective.

The JUICE BOOSTER 2 is the best-selling mobile wallbox worldwide and has been specially adapted for the North American power grid. It is certified by the independent testing body UL and therefore fully complies with all applicable norms and standards.

The most important advantages of the J+ BOOSTER 2 at a glance:

  1. This flexible charging station allows electric cars to be charged at any conventional household or industrial socket throughout North America.
  2. The power consumption covers all variants, 120 V or 240 V, 6 to 40 amps.
  3. The charger has eight NEMA adapters with automatic power detection, four of which are equipped with the active temperature monitoring JUICE CELSIUS. It is waterproof and dustproof (IP 67), can be used in a temperature range of -30°C to 50°C and can withstand being driven over with a wheel load of up to three tons.
  4. UL certification: In the USA and Canada, all electrical devices must be approved for safety in accordance with national regulations. One recognized testing body is Underwriters Laboratories (UL). UL tests products, components, materials and systems to determine whether they meet specific requirements. The J+ BOOSTER 2 has been certified by UL and bears the UL2594 test mark for electrical charging devices for vehicles and UL2231-1 & -2 for personal safety in connection with charging devices in accordance with the two international standards IEC 62196 and IEC 61851-1, RoHS.

About Juice Technology
Juice Technology AG, headquartered in Bachenbülach (near Zurich Airport, Switzerland), is a global manufacturer of charging solutions for electric vehicles. The company's extensive product portfolio of AC and DC charging stations, from light mobile devices to large fast chargers, makes it one of the very few full-range suppliers in the industry. Juice has dominated the global market for mobile 22 kW charging stations since 2014.

The decisive difference to other solutions available on the market is the consistent software orientation. All devices marked with "j+" are based on the same processor and the same firmware, which means they are compatible with each other. By using a single, consistent software architecture, Juice saves a lot of time, effort and money. Solutions such as omnidynamic load management, credit card payment or the interface-open backend are therefore available for the entire product range.

The Juice Group has a global presence with its own locations, subsidiaries and partner companies. The group includes Juice Services AG, Juice Telemetrics AG, the German Juice Europe GmbH with a branch in Munich, Juice Nordics AB in Uppsala, Juice Iberia SL in Malaga, Juice France SAS in Paris, Zhejiang Juice Technology Co., Ltd in Hangzhou, China and Juice Americas Inc. in Delaware, USA.
