Zurich charging station manufacturer Juice cooperates with AEW eMobility
Juice Technology AG, manufacturer of charging stations and software, leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, is cooperating with the energy supplier AEW and consolidating its position on the domestic market.
Making electromobility more accessible to everyone – Juice's mission coincides with that of AEW Energie AG. AEW has made a name for itself as an integrated energy service provider and is also active in the planning, construction, maintenance and servicing of charging stations. AEW also offers interesting contracting solutions and is co-founder of the car sharing platform Swiss E-Car. The partnership with Juice enables AEW to expand its existing services and offer innovative solutions in the field of electromobility.
Christoph Erni, founder and CEO of Juice, is delighted: "The partnership with AEW is an important step for both companies - especially with regard to the domestic market. Our JUICE CHARGER me 3 are developed and manufactured in Switzerland, are 100 percent compliant with standards - which is still not a given - and easy to install. The quick commissioning and the low failure rate are key advantages for AEW's all-round, worry-free offer."
The JUICE CHARGER me and the JUICE CHARGER me 3 already have integrated load management and can be seamlessly integrated into the AEW backend system - this is ensured by standardized interfaces and protocols. Both aspects were a basic requirement for the award and the integration of the Juice charging stations into the AEW contracting product.
"The collaboration with Juice is a great benefit for us. The charging stations in the JUICE-CHARGER-me series not only offer the technological performance we need for our services, but also fit perfectly with our demands for sustainability and innovation. In addition, they are also aesthetically pleasing and compact," explains Arian Rohs, Head of Mobility Solutions at AEW.
The first Juice charging stations have already been successfully put into operation by AEW, and the two companies plan to implement further exciting projects in the field of electromobility in the coming months.
JUICE CHARGER me 3
The smart 11 kW wallbox can be upgraded to a maximum charging capacity of 22 kW free of charge using software. The device is completely preconfigured at the factory and only needs to be connected ("Plug & Play"). Activation is possible either via RFID or via "Plug & Charge" (according to ISO 15118). A graphical user interface allows intuitive onboarding of the charging stations in just a few minutes.
WLAN and Ethernet ensure connectivity. Dynamic load management for up to 250 units is already on board, as well as a directly readable, MID-compliant electricity meter. The charging station is optionally available with a combined residual current and circuit breaker (FI/LS) for easy integration into power distribution systems.
Support for the OCPP 1.5 and 1.6 protocols enables connection to any backend and thus compatibility with virtually all commercial charging networks (including swisscharge, eCarUp and Virta). Alternatively, the in-house JUICE-EXO backend can be used for station management, user administration and billing.
The JUICE CHARGER me 3 is CE-compliant according to all applicable EMC guidelines, can be used at outside temperatures between -30 °C and 50 °C, is protected against the ingress of dirt and moisture according to IP67, is highly shock-resistant according to IK10 and is therefore suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
The multi-layered housing consists of a tightly screwed inner housing and a clip-on outer housing with a front made of scratch-resistant acrylic glass printed on the inside. The clicked-in, replaceable front panel allows for individual motifs or your own branding.

About Juice Technology
Juice Technology AG, headquartered in Bachenbülach (near Zurich Airport, Switzerland), is a global manufacturer of charging solutions for electric vehicles. The company's extensive product portfolio of AC and DC charging stations, from light mobile devices to large fast chargers, makes it one of the very few full-range suppliers in the industry. Juice has dominated the global market for mobile 22 kW charging stations since 2014.
The decisive difference to other solutions available on the market is the consistent software orientation. All devices marked with "j+" are based on the same processor and the same firmware, which means they are compatible with each other. By using a single, consistent software architecture, Juice saves a lot of time, effort and money. Solutions such as omnidynamic load management, credit card payment or the interface-open backend are therefore available for the entire product range.
The Juice Group has a global presence with its own locations, subsidiaries and partner companies.
