At the first Juice World Charging Day 2020, Juice Technology AG presents three game changers in the field of charging technology all at once

Juice Technology AG, manufacturer of charging stations and software, leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, presents a new generation of charging technology at the first Juice World Charging Day 2020 at Eisbach Studios in Munich: The “J+” range with the new JUICE CHARGER 3 and the JUICE BOOSTER 3 take e-mobility and the field of charging solutions to a new level. Another industry-wide innovation: Complete charging infrastructure in a hire model through the subsidiary Juice Services AG.

The e-mobility market continues to develop inexorably and the industry finds itself in the middle of a boom. It is therefore essential that charging station manufacturers produce exclusively intelligent charging stations in the future. They must be networked with one another, able to communicate with each other and able to be centrally controlled with dynamic load management.

The new “J+” range stands for comprehensive connectivity
Juice has already got started on precisely this point. The “J+” range from Juice Technology AG is a new generation of charging technology which lifts the electromobility industry into a new era when it comes to charging infrastructure. J+ connects all charging stations designated as such and makes them intelligent as a group. Different charging station types from Juice can therefore communicate with one another and share user management information. The individual devices are also able to regulate the smartJUICE omni-dynamic charging and load management system, which intelligently distributes the available power to all charging stations in the system, amongst themselves. Christoph Erni, CEO and founder the technology company clarifies: “Software is the key to success, not hardware. And software is also the key to future-proof and sustainable charging infrastructure – device connectivity is an absolute must. That used to be a thought for the future, but we have now succeeded in reaching this new level of charging technology.”

On the market in 2021: JUICE CHARGER 3 and JUICE BOOSTER 3 air
Together with J+, a new generation of the Juice wall box, the JUICE CHARGER 3, as well as the upgrade to the JUICE BOOSTER 2, the JUICE BOOSTER 3 air, also come to market in 2021. Both devices are part of the “J+” range, are compatible with one another and can be managed centrally. In addition to the familiar functions such as activation through numberplate recognition and payment via credit card, the JUICE CHARGER 3 impresses with its new high-resolution touch display, among other things. Like a smartphone, this is simple and intuitive to use. Using functions such as Google Maps, drivers of electric vehicles can find a nearby restaurant for the charging process without needing to use a smartphone. This is a huge benefit for all charging visitors, particularly when abroad or in areas with poor reception.

As the update to the JUICE BOOSTER 2, the JUICE BOOSTER 3 air expands the technology company’s portfolio and is in a class of its own. In addition to familiar usage options as a mobile charging station, wall box and charging cable, as a 6-in-1 solution the Juice Booster 3 air has additional functions for access management and charging management, and is connected to the “J+” backend. It’s diameter is not even as big as a coke can and it provides a charging capacity of 11 kW.

The JUICE JET Engine processor
The proprietary and extremely high-performance JUICE JET Engine, which will be integrated into all products in the future, forms the core of the Juice stations. Beginning with the processor, Juice has succeeded in developing a sustainable product portfolio which builds on one another: the processor can be found in the JUICE BOOSTER, which in turn forms the core of the JUICE CHARGER, which in turn can be upgraded to the JUICE HUB and JUICE HUB public. “The benefits are clear here: Sustainable development, lower costs, functioning technology. We don’t need to maintain 30 different versions for our full range. We are able to focus all our development resources on a single piece of software which benefits all devices. The benefits for customers are clear: Better and more stable solutions for less money. The quality can also be seen in the service cases. We have less than 0.1 percent warranty claims,” Christoph Erni continues.

Charging-as-a-service – hiring instead of buying
In order to support the operators and administrators of large parking areas, underground car parks and car parks in the switch to electromobility and to relieve the strain on them, Juice is also now providing a hire service for charging infrastructure. It’s not just the charging station which is hired – infrastructure planning, all electricity distribution in the underground car park, installation, administration, support, lifetime warranty free updates and servicing are covered by Juice Services AG for the duration of hire. Car parks with at least 30 spaces, of which at least five need a charging station immediately, can take advantage of the hire model for EUR/CHF 69.00 per charging space. Parking spaces which are developed but not used for charging cost just EUR/CHF 1 per year.

  6. smartJuice: The omni-dynamic load and charging management system is infinitely scalable, distributes the available power intelligently to all charging stations in the system, enables multi-level prioritisation, covers all vehicle characteristics, allows the charging process to be brought to a controlled stop, e.g. in the event of power failure, and then restarts the charging process as soon as power is available again. Also possible: Remote control by the energy supplier.
