Juice Technology wins the German Design Award with the JUICE BOOSTER 2

Juice Technology AG, leading manufacturer of mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, wins the German Design Award for excellent design in the “Automotive Parts and Accessories” category with the JUICE BOOSTER 2 mobile charging station.

The German Design Award is the premium international award from the German Design Council. It is intended to discover, present and honour unique design trends. Top-class entries in product and communication design therefore win the award every year. The German Design Award, launched in 2012, numbers among the best known design competitions in the world and enjoys an excellent reputation far beyond specialist circles.

Juice Technology AG was able to win over the jury with the JUICE BOOSTER 2. The waterproof, mobile charging station fits easily into every boot and always facilitates easy, safe and fast charging for drivers of electric vehicles. Any pressure that occurs is evenly distributed thanks to the cylinder-shaped housing. As a result, the JUICE BOOSTER 2 can be driven over with a wheel load of up to three tonnes.

“In charging station design, the highest priority is for the product to be easy to use and safe for the user, in addition to having an appealing aesthetic. As a charging station, the JUICE BOOSTER 2 doesn’t just sit in a display case. It is subjected to a wide range of different environmental influences and charging situations. The design therefore not only has to look good, it also has to be equally functional. We are therefore all the more delighted that an expert jury has once again recognised our efforts with the honour of the German Design Award,” says Christoph Erni, founder and CEO of Juice Technology AG.

The competition sets the highest standards for the determination of its award winners. The German Design Award 2020 jury is made up of design experts from the economy, teaching and science, as well as the design industry. All members of the jury are respected authorities in their fields.
