Record-breakingly fast HPC installation

Juice Technology AG, manufacturer of charging stations and software, leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, installs the first JUICE ULTRA 2 battery in Switzerland and is now offering the JUICE ULTRA 2 battery DC fast charging station for public charging.

The first Swiss fast charging station with battery storage, the JUICE ULTRA 2 battery, has barely been delivered and is already installed and ready for use. For Christoph Erni, CEO and founder of Juice, this is a remarkable achievement in many ways: "It sounds crazy, but it's a fact: We have connected a 160 kW DC fast charging station to a three-phase CEE16 socket. At 11 kW, that's the same output power that a JUICE BOOSTER 3 air can draw at maximum."

Erni, who personally watched the unboxing, is delighted: "We set up this beautifully designed device at midday - in the afternoon the first people were able to charge it. It's a bit like Christmas and Easter for everyone. None of the onlookers expected it to go so quickly. Conventional DC chargers require excavation work and usually a raised mains connection. Here an industrial socket is sufficient. Minimal hurdles, maximum efficiency."

The innovative High Power Charger is now available in front of the Juice World headquarters in Bachenbülach as a public charging station with two charging points. Another AC station, the JUICE CHARGER me 3, has now also been activated as a public charging point. The remaining 40 parking and charging spaces around the building remain reserved for employees and guests.

The charging costs are 39 cents per AC kilowatt hour and 59 cents per DC kilowatt hour. Payment is made directly by credit card, which is user-friendly. Billing is based on the actual consumption and the price overview at the end of the charging process. The billing receipt can be sent to you by email.

The JUICE ULTRA 2 battery – the facts at a glance:

    1. DC fast charging without expanding the grid: The JUICE ULTRA 2 battery has a high charging capacity despite a low grid connection power and enables fast charging with up to 210 kW. The 233 kWh battery is sufficient for six standard charging processes in series and is then quickly recharged. There is also a 466 kWh battery variant for double the charging power.
    2. Super-fast installation: The JUICE ULTRA 2 battery can be connected directly to a standard red CEE industrial socket without any complex structural measures. A connection via CEE63 or CEE125 enables even faster charging and around 40 standard charging processes per day, which also makes the device suitable for fast-charging hubs on main roads.
    3. Avoiding peak loads: By continuously supplying the batteries with electricity, the load on the grid is reduced to a minimum, which in turn is reflected in significantly lower fees for the grid operator. Overall, this results in significantly more cost-efficient operation than with conventional DC fast charging stations. This means that the additional cost of the battery is usually paid off in less than a year.
    4. Solar-controlled charging: The clever energy management system of the JUICE ULTRA 2 battery enables electricity from PV systems to be stored and used to charge electric vehicles without additional installations. The solar power produced is first used for the building's own consumption before it is used to charge the JUICE ULTRA 2 battery. PV surplus charging has never been so easy.
