Leading Swiss logistics company relies on Juice solutions for future-proof charging infrastructure
Juice Technology AG, a manufacturer of charging stations and software and a leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, is cooperating with Sieber Transport AG, one of the leading Swiss logistics companies, to further advance the electrification of its fleet with electric trucks and delivery vans with efficient charging infrastructure.
"With our charging infrastructure, we enable logistics companies to integrate electromobility into their processes without compromise: efficient, powerful and precisely tailored. This is the future of electric freight transport, which is already a reality at Sieber," says Christoph Erni, founder and CEO of Juice Technology.
The Sieber Group is focusing on electromobility as part of its sustainability strategy. Over 50 charging points are already in operation at locations in Switzerland and in neighboring countries, and 47 electric vehicles and additional cars are part of the fleet. The collaboration with Juice enables the seamless integration of additional electric vehicles and charging stations. "With Juice, we have found the ideal partner to support us in the electrification of our logistics fleet," says Marco Hartmann, Managing Director of SFL AG, a company in the Sieber Group. "The solution is tried and tested and covers all charging needs - from vans to small trailers. It is easy for our drivers to use and the backend makes administration efficient."
As part of the collaboration, Juice has modified the smart JUICE CHARGER me 3 wallbox so that even trucks with semi-trailers can be charged directly at the loading ramp. Equipped with a 14-meter-long charging cable with thermal and induction protection on a swiveling drum, it enables charging even with the cable partially wound up while goods are being loaded or unloaded - with no loss of performance, even at high ambient temperatures.
The ability to install the charging station in a confined space, for example between loading gates or - as in Sieber's case - even under the loading ramp, makes the system particularly flexible. External RFID terminals can be installed some distance from the charging station to activate the charging processes. The entire charging park can be managed via the Juice Charger Dashboard. The tool, specially developed for fleet operators, enables the management of RFID tokens, viewing the charging history, downloading charging receipts and online configuration of the entire charging infrastructure - including load management.
The cooperation between Juice and Sieber sets a new standard for the electrification of the logistics industry with this quickly implementable, scalable solution.
